MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE

Mexican Independence was an event occurred on 1810 by Miguel Hidalgo on September 16th. It was very important because finally Mexican people could be free of the Spaniards, after 200 years of slavery.

Mexico was colonized by Spain with the arrival of great navigations since the fifteenth century. For almost three centuries, the territory that we know today as Mexico was under the control of the Spaniards.

The advantages are that the slavery was finished, the country converted in a republic, because before was a monarchy. The country was recognized as Mexico, instead of being called New Spain. The mexican people had rights and also more opportunities.

The disadvantages are that the country had political instability and insecurity, lack of sources and lot deaths.

Mexico's struggle for independence has been a change in the way of life of our ancestors, according to history, it was necessary to give to try to change the situation of slavery in Mexicans.
